What Are Veneers?
dental veneers are ultra-thin shells custom fabricated to cover the surface of teeth to improve appearance. The shells can be made from porcelain, resins, or other materials and are bonded to the front of the teeth changing the color, shape, size, length, and overall smile.

How long do Veneers last?
After veneers are placed in, they essentially become one with your own tooth and with proper at-home oral hygiene regular check-ups with your dentist, dental veneers can often last longer than 10 years. Adjustments may be made at anytime for corrections.
How much of the tooth is shaved down?
In most cases tooth shaping is minimal if needed at all. Only a small amount of enamel is removed to create room for your new veneer.
Dr. Safaei applies special anesthetics to eliminate any sensation during the procedure. In fact, the process of veneers can help relieve sensitivity in some cases as it helps cover areas of discomfort that already exist.
Your tooth is turned into a nub
Drilling and tooth shaping may not be needed in some cases. If some reshaping is needed it is often minimal.
Veneers look un-natural or too "fake"
Sometimes a patient selects a color that is beyond what is acceptable as a natural or even a bleached color. This is often the reason some veneers look “fake”. The choice is yours, and color selection is a process that Dr. Safaei will have with you during your consultation and/or start day to make sure you achieve your desired results.
